அகர முதல எழுத்தெல்லாம் ஆதிபகவன் முதற்றே உலகு.

akara mudhala ezuththellAm Adhi 
bagavan mudhaRRE ulagu.

Meaning

A, as its first of letters, every speech maintains;
The "Primal Deity" is first through all the world's domains.

All the letters are voiced subsequent to the letter 'A' and hence we call them as alphabets. For the word that came to existence there is One Who before beginningless and stand endless. That God is the ultimate Precedent of the world.
